Like heavy goods vehicles, diesel engines of agricultural and forestry machinery are subject to anti-pollution standards and European regulations that aim to limit emissions of particulate matter and nitrogen oxides (NOx). SCR technology that involves AdBlue®injection is the solution selected by the main manufacturers of agricultural engines. Selective catalytic reduction is a system for treating flue gases at the exhaust, using a non-toxic solution of water and urea called AdBlue®. 85 % of NOx are then converted into water vapor and nitrogen, harmless to the environment.
