Hydrogen partnerships to support Europe’s energy transition
Reliable hydrogen imports will be essential for Europe’s energy transition. During the recent business mission to Tunisia and Algeria alongside Austria’s Federal Minister of Economy, LAT Nitrogen COO Manuel Beschliesser met with key stakeholders to discuss the development of future hydrogen supply corridors to Europe. As a member of the HIAA (Hydrogen Import Alliance Austria), LAT Nitrogen is actively contributing to the dialogue on the infrastructure, partnerships and framework conditions needed to establish reliable, long-term supplies of green hydrogen.
“Austria will need imported hydrogen to meet future demand. The strategic importance of the SoutH2 Corridor lies in connecting abundant renewable resources in North Africa with Europe’s industrial demand centres”, says Manuel Beschliesser, COO of LAT Nitrogen.
The SoutH2 Corridor can play an important role in connecting North Africa’s renewable energy potential with Europe’s industrial base - supporting a secure, competitive and sustainable hydrogen market for Europe.
